Season - A Poem
Season
It's only a season
Soon to be past
A sweet, short season
Not long to last
Of her being so small
Carrying her in my arms
Watching her wonder and awe
Calming her when she's alarmed
Motherhood is shaping me
as much as my mothering is shaping her
And I pray the Lord uses me
And helps me lead and guide her
I pray for her daddy
the precious head of our home
I thank God for this little family
to which I'm so thankful to belong
It's only a season
Soon to be past
A sweet, short season
Not long to last
So quickly she grows
She's changing every day
Playing and learning as she goes
Teaching me along the way
Thank You, Lord,
for this little girl
Thank You, Lord,
That I get to be her mom
oh, so sweet, thanks for sharing. God Bless.
