One Winter Night (An Original Poem)
One Winter Night
It's been a dark day,
The night is even darker,
Where is the golden lantern,
That I fall in love with each night?
It's not here;
The ancient stars are
just too tired tonight,
After all, It's the
coldest winter night;
Icicles like those from the beams,
Grasp their way up into our throats,
Freeze our tongues from syllables, warm.
Gazing out my window,
I feel I'm gazing out the world,
Home seems a distant place,
What's behind is just a house;
Winter's cold whispers prod -
'Be not eager to give in first!
And a fresh blaze of fury erupts,
Defending ego, defending foolishness,
I ignore the knocks on the door,
I do not wish to hear more words
That claw my presence out,
The knocks grow harder,
I grow defer,
Winter wickedly whispers -
"I won't open, never!"
The tree are stark skiagram,
Strict against the sky,
That reminds me in the first place,
What had happened, Why
All of sudden,
A star burns burns bright,
As if it were, it were
Calling out to me?
More than the self,
the heart took its call,
It whispered in misty tones:
'Who do you value more,
In this blackness and night?
Do you not long for stars and night?
Go out that door, end this fight!'
Descending down the steps,
I fell into her arms,
Out broke smiles,
they stretched for miles
And there is the lantern,
It's shining a high,
And thus smiles the sky,
Smiles the sky.

Great work as always. Keep it up!
