Achievement 2 task: Basic security on steem By@ millan23

Introduction

Good morning everyone @millan23. I am called Kpan Benno a newcomer on steem here to perform my achievement 2 task on security in steem.
Security is known as the ability to keep things save from another person or keeping something confidential from the reach of a third person.
Security is very important in every site so that your data or information is save.

Have you retrieve all your keys on Steemit?

Yes the day I first joined steem is the the day a got all my keys retrieved
I became very confused as to how all these keys are used until a read more stuff on how the keys are used.
Let me mention them

Active key
Owner key
Memo key
Posting key
Master password
Do you know each of these keys functions and restrictions?
Yes I know each key and it’s function and below are their expressions

Active key: it is used to transfer steem to another account ( person to person). This key is useful in powering up and down steem.
We also use it to convert SBD.

Owner key: This key is powerful and very important as it is used to change key in different accounts.
It is also used to recover stolen account.

Memo key: This key is used in encrypting and decrypting memos when transferring funds from one account to another.

Posting keys: It is known as the login key which is used to login into my account every day to work.
It is also used to post what I write and also for voting and commenting on others.

Master password: This key is used to retrieve other keys in case of missing phone or our phone gets faulty.
It is very important and necessary to save it offline.

How do you plan to keep your Master Password?

I plan to save it offline and also write it inside my handbook and also in my computer to avoid losing it ever.

Do you know how to power up your Steem?

I just learnt that last week just a day after I was introduced to steemit
Let me show you
Firstly, I log into my wallet, on my liquid steem and I click on the link behind it and select power up.
After this process, I put the steem amount to be powered on the dash board and I click power up.
I page pops up and I then click ok and once that is done my steem is powered.

Do you know how to transfer your Steem?
Yes. I learnt that the next day on steem , this is also done on my wallet but this time, I select transfer on the dashboard.
I menu pops requesting for a username of the person you want to transfer the steem to and the amount is then the inserted and the menu is clicked and you are taken to the next page.
I then use my active key and click ok.
