Yes, "Milka" is my name, it’s the first thing that I must clarify in my presentation; Is that people always think it's a nickname. What a joke!

A month ago I joined Steemit, and I came here thanks to the recommendation of @roosegr. Due to my work in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation I haven’t been able to devote as much time as I wanted, but here we go. I present so far because guided by some guides of this super network, I decided to make some posts before the presentation to first become familiar with the dynamics.

So Hello, hello! This is me:

I was born in the Venezuelan Andes, specifically in San Cristobal, Tachira state; But as I mentioned in another post, I am from La Costa Oriental, from Puerto La Cruz, Anzoategui state. My family is Colombian, and when I was two years old my parents decided to come and live here, and it was certainly the best choice of their lives; Venezuela is a wonderful place.

I’am 24 years old, of whom seven have been dedicated to the sport; if they had met me before that time I assure you that they would never I have thought that I could dedicate myself to physical activity, but then I will tell you that story.    

I have a degree in Social Communication, but at the moment I do not directly exercise the profession, I mean, I'm just using it for Steemit. I’am currently studying Physiotherapy, and I dedicate myself to it specialized in the sports field. I know, it's very curious because one profession doesn’t have so much to do with the other, but we on the way discovering that we has different abilities. 

As I mentioned, sport is my passion, especially if it’s about extreme or unconventional disciplines. I even started my sports thanks to one that broke with the common: the "Ultimate Frisbee"; Where I was selected by Venezuela, and we participated in 2013 in the World Champion Sub Nations 23 in Toronto, Canada. We achieved fourth place in the Mixed category, a historic position for my country.

In the title of my post I spoke of having the "desire to realize a dream", and it’s precisely to attend the next World Club Championship to be held in July 2018 in Cincinatti, United States.

No  is a secret that Venezuela is going through a rather serious economic crisis, and although I do not like the word "impossible" I must use it to describe the fact that with the money I earn in my work I could never gather enough to attend. But I feel that life put Steemit in my way at the right time. I think I have enough time to work hard on the net and be able to get what I need to fulfill this dream. I'll tell you later what this project is all about.

Other of my favorite sports are Calisthenics, Street Workout and Slackline.

I connected too much with the first two because through them I discovered that I could do things that I didn’t see myself able to perform. For example: I managed to make 102 push ups in only one round when three years ago I couldn’t even do one. In short, I learned to try and get it.

As  for Slackline, I love the level of concentration you have to develop, as well as adopting a correct body posture, breathing properly, and balancing your body. It’s a practice that connects you deeply with yourself.

I have tried many more sports, which I do from time to time for fun, such as Skimboard, Rafting, Stand Up Paddleboard, and Baseball; And also other ways of training, such as Crossfit, functional exercise, and I’m currently testing with Hiit.

But my life isn’t just to train, I also love to travel; mainly because of the adventures it generates, and the countless lessons I acquire. I know almost all of Venezuela, and just three more countries, but my goal is for that number to keep growing.

Another of my passions is music, before I started in the sport I dedicated to it; I did choirs for several musicians, and I had a project of my own, but I found myself doing a lot of activities at the same time and I had to decide for one to be able to put all my energy, so I left the music in "stand by".

Studying is another of my greatest hobbies, the satisfaction of learning is inexplicable; Because of this I love reading.

And of all the things I have told you about me, what matters most is my love for love. It sounds strange, but I have the conviction that practicing love produces more love, and by that I mean that everything I do would not be possible without that feeling, that more than a feeling is a way of life.
