Steemchurch: Never give up
Once again, the young teacher read the note attached to the beautiful ivy plant.
"Thanks to the seeds that you planted, someday we will be like this beautiful plant. We appreciate everything you have done for us. Thank you for investing time in our lives. "
A broad smile lit the teacher's face as tears of thanks flowed down her cheeks. As the only leper who showed gratitude to Jesus when he was healed, the girls he had taught Sunday school, remembered to thank his teacher. The ivy plant represented a gift of love.
For months the teacher faithfully watered the growing plant. Every time he looked at her, he remembered those special teenagers and that encouraged her to continue teaching.
But after a year, something happened. The leaves began to turn yellow and to fall; all, except one. He thought about getting rid of the ivy, but decided to continue watering it and fertilizing it. One day, when passing through the kitchen, the teacher saw that the plant had a new outbreak. A few days later, another sheet appeared, and then another. In a few months, the ivy was again becoming a beautiful plant.
Henry Drummond says: "Do not think that nothing happens, simply because you do not see your growth, or do not listen to the hum of the engines. Great things grow silently. "
There are few joys greater than the blessing of faithfully investing love and time in the lives of other people. Never, never give up on those plants!
Let us not get tired, then, of doing good; because in time we will reap, if we do not lose heart.
If you are being afflicted, you are being attacked, rejoice in God because greater is the glory that will come upon your life Romans 8:18, remember that after each desert comes a promised land, so never take your eyes off the reward, Hebrews 11: 26 The people of Israel had to go through the desert because God did not want them to arrive in the promised land with Egypt in their hearts, that is why many deserts come to your life to change areas in your heart that have not been surrendered to God and that They are going to prepare to receive the blessing that God has for you. God is never going to give you something that you do not know how to administer, the desert is to prepare us, to equip us, so that when we get to the promised land we never forget where God took us and glorify his name forever. Many people say that Job lost everything, and I tell him that earthly speaking yes, Job would have lost everything if he had lost God and his integrity, which were his greatest strengths. Many people believe that to be blessed is only to have many material possessions, and that is good, but this is of no value unless we have God in the first place in our lives. You can win the whole world, and if you do not have God it is like you have nothing. Many people ask themselves, why am I going through so many difficult problems? But never wonder what areas in my heart does God want to change? That is why every day we must look for new levels in intimacy with God, so that he shows us his plans and purposes, and makes us understand why it is necessary for us to be tested.
If today you suffer for the sufferings of Christ tomorrow you will rejoice in the revelation of his glory (1 Peter 4: 12-13).
Many times the many cares of this world lead us to take our eyes off the word of God, many times we do not even see the hand of God work and we feel that God has abandoned us, because we lead a life where the natural is more important than the spiritual, and we believe that when a person does not go through difficult problems is because it is right with God and that is a lie and contradicts the life of the apostles of the book of Acts. Anyone who follows a truth will always be attacked by a lie, but the truth will always remain.
Never give up talking about Jesus to people, never give up praying, never surrender to hatred and resentment, never surrender to pride or lies, never surrender to all those things that displease God, decide to do the will of God no matter the cost, do not fight to lose yourself eternally, fight to achieve mercy and favor before God, let him see that you love him and that you want to be with him.
Blessings
It is important to persevere until the day of Jesus Christ, he is our sustenance.
