My travel diary - Grand Canyon of the Pacific

Every of my photos has its own story. I was very excited to see Waimea Canyon because it would be the first proper canyon that I'd see. I didn't check it on the photos too much before because I didn't want to have any expectations. However, one expectation wasn't met when I arrived. I couldn't see it because of the fog. Kauai has one of the wettest places on Earth and fog is the downside. A good thing, though, is that it started to rain and fog disappears after 20 minutes. ⠀

This photo is from a lookout near the road. So I bought a pineapple on the stick, went to my car, ate the pineapple and waited for the rain to end. Waiting was very well worth it, because this amazing view opened up for me (and I'll definitely post a few more photos of the canyon later).
