Long time no paint

So, still no studio time; but since i am up early and feeling pretty energetic, i thought i'd do something on pc before another meeting coming up. I was about to start paint but felt it was time to change things up and finally decided to give Krita a try. @katharsisdrill has been a long time proponent of the software and @veryspider was also recommending it.
Now, reason why i've not gone to this before is because i do own Painter 17. Ibought it as kind of reward with Steem a while back and i've been enjoying using it. Lately i've been doing more with windows paint for a number of reasons. i think i will have to extend upon on another time. As it is, my interests in ways of making art and all things go in weird cycles and i like to try new things.
So back to Krita. After this quick first try, it feels pretty intuitive to use for my needs and seems pretty responsive as in the feel of painting. There is a good amount of brushes to play with and i'm not really missing a lot of features to begin with but sure there is plenty. I'm going to install it at work too and get more acquainted. We also have older version of Painter there but I don't think we'll be upgrading that anytime soon.
