After days of rain this Saturday we woke up with the sun and it was hot all day.
The sky was an intense blue even if every now and then some clouds tried to obscure it but fortunately no rain.
Clearly the alarm went off late and everything passed slowly then we went to my parents' house for lunch to spend some time with them and also to take advantage of their beautiful garden and be outdoors.

Dopo giorni di pioggia questo sabato ci siamo svegliati col sole e ha fatto caldo tutto il giorno.
Il cielo era di un azzurro intenso anche se ogni tanto qualche nuvola provava ad oscurarlo ma per fortuna niente pioggia.
Chiaramente la sveglia è suonata tardi e tutto è trascorso lentamente poi siamo per pranzo siamo andate a casa dei miei genitori per passare un po'di tempo con loro e anche per approfittare del loro bellissimo giardino e stare all'aria aperta.

I was struck by a rosebud, because despite the bad weather this week it managed to blossom, nature always surprises me.

Sono rimasta colpita da un bocciolo di rosa, perché nonostante il brutto tempo di questa settimana è riuscito a fiorire, la natura mi sorprende sempre.

Then wandering among my mother's plants, I found the mandarin with its still unripe fruits but which are starting to have the right shape, until a few weeks ago they were crooked balls.

And then the last harvest of my mother's cherry tomato plants that gave us a bountiful harvest throughout the summer season.
But it's time to change vegetables and plant some winter greens, even if my mother's passion for the garden comes only with the summer, in winter she takes off the farmer's clothes and puts on the sofa slippers, at least she takes care of the fireplace.

Poi gironzolando tra le piante di mia madre, ho trovato il mandarino con i suoi frutti ancora acerbi ma che iniziano ad avere 1a forma giusta, fino a qualche settimana fa erano delle palline stortignaccole.

E poi l'ultimo raccolto delle piante di pomodori pachino di mia madre che per tutta la stagione estiva ci hanno regalato un raccolto abbondante.
Ma è tempo di cambiare ortaggio e piantare qualche verdura invernale, anche se la passione dell'orto a mia madre viene solo con la bella stagione, d'inverno toglie i panni della contadina e indossa le pantofole da divano al massimo si occupa del camino.

The beautiful hydrangeas show off their latest fall colors before they all come off during the winter.
They went from wisteria to shades of pink to its darkest shades.
We must adapt to the change of season and start wearing heavier clothes and above all dressing in layers, in Rome they say "dressing like an onion", 😂 because based on the temperatures we remove the various layers of clothes, so t-shirts, t -Long sleeved shirt, sweatshirt and down jacket for rain and on hot days like this you need a backpack to put all the extra layers inside.

Le bellissime ortensie ostentano i loro ultimi colori autunnali prima di spellacchiarsi tutte durante l'inverno.
Sono passate dal glicine ai toni del rosa fino alle sue sfumature più scure.
Dobbiamo adattarci al cambio della stagione e cominciare ad indossare indumenti più pesanti e soprattutto vestirci a strati, a Roma diciamo "vestirci a cipolla", 😂 perché in base alle temperature ti togli i vari strati di vestiti, quindi t-shirt, maglietta a manica lunga, giacchetto o felpa, e piumino per la pioggia e in giornate calde come questa serve uno zaino per metterci dentro tutti gli strati di troppo.

But I close with the photo of those who appreciated the sunny day and the garden most of all, our dog who has been with us for almost a month and coexistence is going well.
I thought it would take her longer to adapt as she has lived in a kennel to this day, but she has a very docile character and is so loving and by now she has understood that she can rest assured because she will stay with us forever.

Comunque chiudo con la foto di chi ha apprezzato più di tutti la giornata di sole e il giardino, la nostra cagnolotta che ormai è con noi da quasi un mese e la convivenza va a gonfie vele.
Credevo ci volesse più tempo per lei ad adattarsi visto che ha vissuto in canile fino ad oggi, invece ha un carattere molto docile ed è tanto affettuosa e ormai ha capito che può stare tranquilla perché resterà con noi per sempre.
