Immediately drew me in with this story. I love the use of Malala and hope there is more to come :) Definitely seems like it could be the future, did you know that sometime next year the first commercial space expedition has been approved. Something like that... it could change how we view space.
I'm glad to hear you liked it. I fell in love with Malala's story as soon as I heard it. I also started hearing the reports about the women's military in Rojava while reading about Octavia's Brood and this story just happened. I don't know if there will be more of this one specifically but there will probably be more short stories eventually.
I know there are a couple of companies competing for commercial space travel rights and I'll be very excited to see an average Joe return from a SpaceX flight.
I haven't heard of Octavia's brood, is it at all related to the shakespeare character? Well I'll be sure to check back in and see what else you write. You most certainly have a talent my friend.
