Rocky Mountain High

Ive always been creative, and had a passion for food so it was only natural i would find myself working in kitchens from a young age. After almost 20 years of working as a Chef i quit and moved away from the city.

Abyss

After i moved i had found a box of paints that i had purchased over 10 years earlier. I figured i had heaps of time and enjoyed painting in the past so i headed down to the local discount store and grabbed a couple canvases. Honestly the first dozen were terrible there was no way i could give them away. I didn't care, the fun of creating something new was enough for me to keep at.

Midnight Run

It really wasn't long before the house was taken over by art. Thats when the self doubt kicks in... What am i doing? Am i really an artist? Who's going to buy this stuff? I only started painting for the love of it! And it was helping my head space I really wasn't thinking about making this into a career. But i had to do something with them...

The Portal

I started posting photos of my art on Instagram and approached a number of local cafes. After a little persistence i managed to get a cafe to hang some art, they even managed to sell a couple pieces. I guess that made it official, I am working artist!

Fire & Ice

Ive been thing of starting a blog for a while and recently Ive had several friend recommend Steemit. So here I am.
I wanted to share my story in hope of inspiring at least one person to get busy being creative. I promise its worth it!
