My Wife And I

Good day great steemians. Welcome to my blog. How are you and your families? And, how are you guys enjoying the festive season? I am happy to write again in this forum. It's quite some time! I have some exciting experiences to share with you.

Morning Activities

My day began by 8am. As I woke up, I hurriedly went to take my bath because by 9am I would join our meeting via Zoom. Within some minutes, We where ready for the meeting. The meeting began with song and prayer. The speaker of the public talk highlighted the dangers of getting involved with spiritism. The point that struck my heart most was that getting involved with the demons, meant that you are friends with Jehovah God's enemies. A frightening thought never to be imagined! Who can afford to be God's enemy?

After the meeting, we had breakfast. And I had a little rest. And after resting for a while, I started preparing for the greater family get together which will be at my mums place in Lekki. My wife prepared my luggage and booked an uber taxi for me and zoom I left.

Afternoon/Evening Activities

Everything about the taxi bargain and my movement to Lekki happened between 4-5pm. My uber man was the friendly type. I am also very friendly as well, I guess that what played a part in our discussion. We talked about different topics. From sports to women Walhalla and so on.

I really enjoy my ride because, this are
the best times in Lagos. There's minimal traffic and the husting and bustling has evidently reduced. Business activities halted till later in January. There's now some seemly steady light although its taken when you least expect it to be there. If Lagos was as free as this everytime, it would have been the best city in Nigeria and Africa as well.

In no time, I arrived at my mums residence and was welcomed by my cousins, nephews and nieces. I was very happy to see them. We hugged, talked, laughed and had a wonderful time. I got to know some of my nephews and nieces for the first time. And the ones I knew before, had grown up. Below are some wonderful moments we had!

At about 8pm, we had dinner. We were served joliof rice and chicken. After that I called to check up on my wife. We talked for a while, then we prayed together on the phone. And we bid ourselves good bye.

Well other things that happened are confidential. Family talk and all that. I think we will go to the Beach tomorrow. Barracuda Beach preferably. Anyways, I'll keep you posted.

Conclusion

There are many many circumstances that are out of our control and many, that are not. For those That you can control, make full use of it. Especially useful is time spent with family members whom we haven't seen for a long time. For me, yesterday afforded me that precious time to be with them. You know that there nothing like the family.
