MINING STEEM ON A MAC VIDEO

It would be amazing if someone , anyone who has the expertise would make a video
of how to mine STEEM and post it here or anywhere. I have spent the last 6 hours trying to follow all diffirent advise and no luck. If you could only see the frustration on my face and in body and my wifes as she is watching me try to solve this issue i think she is ready to put me out of my misery. I mean literally she has started throwing fruit at me next will be something harder I'm sure.

I don't want to give up on my idea to be able to mine some Steem my self as i am sure there are thousands of people like me,and so i am suggesting that the people at the top of the knowledge tree share their knowledge with simpletons like me. All of your help is greatly appreciated I'm sure by everyone like me.

    I can probably do this, but I need to know if it's a scrypt algo or a simple sha256 algo....I'd be happier to try to turn my old asics on to running this if they work
