Request a new "4x3 Widget App Extension" for In The News section of Wikipedia Android app | Open Source

Brief Introduction and Review
Wikipedia Android app is designed to help you find, discover, and explore knowledge on Wikipedia. It is very useful and handy to use with over 10 million + downloads.

Components

I am making some suggestions to "In The News" section of the app.

Proposal

Create a 4x3 Wikipedia Widget for "In The News" section in home screen.

This 4x3 widget is a simple application extension from the Wikipedia App that will be put in the home screen in every smartphones.

1. The 4x3 widget should be flexible enough for every screen of smartphones comes in different sizes.
2. The 4x3 widget should function the same as what it does on the original place in the app.
3. There are a lot of things happening around the world, the news should be listed accordingly.
4. The grid of the news in the 4x3 widget should display the date and time the article is published/created.
5. There are a lot of countries around the world, the "In The News" section of the app should be able to give the choice of country to the readers in which where they are interested. For example, knowing the latest happenings in Japan or North Korea etc.

As you can see, it's more approachable when the In The News section in app can have a 4 x 3 widget app extension in the home screen.

Definitely, this will make the Wikipedia Android App advanced and better.
