Apple announced that hundreds of new emoji will come to iPhone and iPad with iOS 11.1, which have been adapted from the Unicode Consortium-approved representations and are in Unicode 10, launched in June 2017.

The new emoji include happy faces, clothes, food, animals and mythical creatures, as well as characters that were announced during World Emoji Day, such as the woman with the burka, the bearded man, the zombie, a person in a lotus position or the gesture of "I love you" based on the sign language.

According to a statement from Apple, the new emoji will be available in the public beta and iOS 11.1 developers, and will arrive in upcoming iOS, macOS and watchOS updates.
