👨‍🎓 Advantages and disadvantages of online exams for students

This morning my activities were still the same as yesterday, I became an exam supervisor and helped some problems with students' cellphones when they took the online exam using cellular phones, but there were also some students who used laptops.

This exam was attended by all grade 6 students with a total of 89 of them, this online-based exam activity was the first time we carried out at school. In my opinion, there are several advantages if the exam uses online mode so that it makes the implementation of the exam more effective and efficient.

First in terms of paper, you can imagine there are 12 subjects tested, each subject consumes hundreds of question papers and answer sheets. Of course this costs a lot of money if using paper, but by using cellphones owned by parents at home, it can save costs for schools because there is no need to print paper.

Another benefit is that it is easy to check and assess the results of student answers, usually if using paper exams the teacher spends time checking for 3 days for one subject.

However, using online exams can shorten the time, only a few minutes with the online exam application used, you can find out the score of the number of correct and incorrect answers that have been filled in by students.

On the one hand, some of the shortcomings and obstacles faced are related to internet connection problems. The school does not have adequate internet to be used by dozens of students. The internet currently owned by the school is only prioritized for the needs of administrative staff and teachers.

However, we managed to overcome this problem by requiring students to bring cell phones that have internet packages, some students who brought cell phones but did not have internet data we made several efforts such as connecting to their friend's mobile hotspot.

Another bad side of using cell phones when students have finished taking exams, they do not want to go home immediately because they are happy to enjoy free wi-fi to play online games with their friends in the school environment.

In the afternoon after finishing supervising the exam, my group of school friends and I went to the house of one of our friends who was grieving, coincidentally his house was very close to the coastal position, what a beautiful view.

Our friend who was grieving was Mrs. @nuraini75 because her in-laws had passed away a week ago. One of our traditions and culture in Aceh is to visit people who are grieving to comfort them by reading tahlil and samadiah prayers, do you know what tahlil and samadiah are?

Prayers that are recited with the intention of being sent to the spirit of the deceased. The hope is that by reciting these prayers the departed spirit can be forgiven of its sins and facilitate its path to heaven.

Visiting the house of a bereaved person with the aim of reciting tahlil prayers so that the deceased person can be forgiven for his sins, so that the deceased person can facilitate his path to heaven, besides that our presence also aims to comfort friends who are grieving.

Hopefully the readings we have read will be accepted by Allah SWT and become additional charity for the deceased. After reading the prayer, the owner of the house said to eat a little of the food that we have served today, as a token of gratitude. We ended up enjoying lunch together that had been served. After finishing lunch, I went home and rested at home.

🍱 Shopping my favorite food

In the evening I just spent a lot of time at home with my wife, at home I also worked on several thesis proposal assignments that became an obligation as a requirement for graduation at the IAIN Lhokseumawe Postgraduate campus.

After I got tired of working on several tasks I started to feel hungry, hunger is often tempting when night falls even though my condition has eaten rice. Finally I chose to buy lontong satay, a favorite food that tastes very good on the tongue.

The most delicious thing about this satay is that the beef is tender because the cooking process uses special charcoal so that it is really cooked and tastes very delicious. The taste of the rice cake is also very soft, the seasoning is also very addictive because there are special spices.

I only buy one packet and eat it at home with my wife, eating a plate together while chatting is so beautiful and exciting, that's how I spend time with my partner.

After finishing my meal, I spend my time watching YouTube and TikTok videos, after getting bored I then wash my face and fall asleep immediately.
