SLC-S21/W6 | Family Picnic

Hello steemian friends, on this occasion I will share activities and experiences with the theme of a family picnic. Hope you all enjoy reading this post.

On this trip I invited the whole family to go on a picnic to the highlands. I invited my beloved wife, parents, and younger siblings to take a vacation together so that we could enjoy a beautiful day. My wife and I have also planned some things that we will do together there, of course we will stay overnight, play and visit some tourist attractions.

The little sister is 9 years old named Ashura.

The younger brother is 12 years old named Ali.

In the middle of the journey we experienced a bit of traffic jam, but the surrounding scenery was very beautiful.

We chose a place on the outskirts of Takengon city's freshwater lake, after looking for several places we decided to rent a cottage on the outskirts of the lake located at a tourist spot called "Tedoeh Piyoeh".

Previously I often saw many people who spent the night on the outskirts of this lake either by camping under a tent, so we also wanted to do the same, we wanted to enjoy the sensation of spending the night there.

Before traveling to this place, my wife and I had prepared several menus that we would cook under the hut or under the tent where we spent the night near the edge of the lake.

We have prepared some fast processed foods such as noodles, meat, seafood, mushrooms, and various other vegetables. We would grill them under the hut together while chatting and enjoying a cup of coffee.

We sit with our families in front of the electric stove that we have brought from home, we cook it together and enjoy the whole meal together. After the food was cooked we also shared it fairly, Ali's little brother really enjoyed all the food, he repeatedly asked for more food because he was not yet full.

In the morning after waking up from sleep we took a family bath by the lake, only Ali did not want to take a bath because the water was very cold. Meanwhile, his younger sister Asyura played in the water with us.

We also swam together there, but my mother and younger siblings only wanted to swim at the edge of the lake. They can't swim so they only choose to swim at the edge of the lake.

Asyura also played with the little rabbits around the yard where we stayed, she caught them and fed them 🐰. We all felt very excited and happy with our simple vacation moment here.

As long as we played at the tourist attractions, Ashura was very happy and enjoyed it, every time she saw me swimming she asked to swim, but she was always worried because she was afraid that I would let go of her hand while taking her swimming, my goal was to do this so that she could learn to swim faster. Other than that, we also played throwing stones and splashing water to get them all wet.

As for Ali, he spent more time exploring every point of the location there, of course I saw their faces full of excitement.

After a few hours we played water and swam there Asyura began to feel cold, her hands also looked very pale, I immediately ordered her to stop playing water immediately, the cold made Asyura her teeth were shaking so we laughed at her funny behavior.

Because Ali was lazy to bathe, we mocked him, saying "he's handsome but his body stinks because he's lazy to bathe," hearing that made Ali feel upset but he still didn't care what we said. He still didn't want to take a shower.

Besides that, the funniest thing was when we saw Ali slipping after coming out of the bathroom, at that time Ali came out using his towel by tying it around his waist, when he fell we saw him naked. So that made us who saw everything laugh.

But luckily his condition when he fell was not fatal, I reminded him that in the future he should be more careful when walking, no more rushing and hurrying, because that kind of attitude is not good.
