Enjoying a Day Off at Pariban Hot Spring in North Sumatra
Hello steemian friends, Today I would like to invite you to enjoy a vacation and tourist destination to Pariban, Semangat Gunung Village, Merdeka District, Karo Regency, North Sumatra. I have known this place for a long time, but only this time I was able to visit here with my wife. Sunday, January 26, 2025.
Pariban is known as a hot spring located at the foot of the mountains, besides that there are many traditional houses of the Batak tribe around here, the natural charm and beautiful environment make this place very worthy of being visited to spend vacation time with family.
If you depart from the city of Lhokseumawe to get to Pariban it takes about 9-10 hours to travel, this vacation we left using a Tourism Bus, the bus we rode started moving at 11:00 Wib night. Along the way we spent time sleeping on the bus.
The bus we traveled on was slow, besides that in the middle of the trip many passengers asked to stop for the purpose of urinating, eating and drinking.

My wife and I arrived there at 09.53 am, we paid an entrance ticket of 25,000 IDR per person. Although it was still very early in the morning when I arrived there I saw many people who had crowded the location, I was sure that the visitors were not people who came from this village because along the way I only saw a few houses.
The first time I arrived at this place I was surprised, because all around there were so many swimming pools, the water in the pools was not as clear as the water we have found in other swimming pools.
According to the information I know, all the water in the pool is hot water containing sulfur, this water is taken directly from the bowels of the earth or the surrounding mountains which are then flowed directly into the swimming pool.

I became even more curious and immediately wanted to dive into the hot spring pool and enjoy the sensation of bathing in hot water mixed with sulfur. Some sources on the internet that I read said that this sulfur water bath has many benefits for the skin and body.
After a few minutes of immersing my body in the pool, I smelled an unpleasant aroma, this was the smell of sulfur water that stinks and stings.
I soaked for only about 20 minutes, not forgetting to wash my entire face using the hot water mixed with sulfur. After finishing swimming, I also looked at my face and the result was that my facial skin looked cleaner and brighter. It was true that bathing in sulfur water can remove dead skin cells.
I wanted to take a longer bath, but my wife was busy for me to end the bath so that we could capture a photo moment together there, so I was forced to end this warm bath activity.

In addition, the place is very well organized, and there are so many beautiful flowers around, around this place we can also enjoy beautiful natural scenery because there are mountains towering into the sky. With an all-green natural scenery makes this place very beautiful and beautiful so that we are comfortable when we are here.
In addition, in this place there are also many lodges available so that we can take shelter and rest, if you want to spend the night, in this place there are also many lodging houses or homestays that are rented out for the night.
The houses here are also very interesting and unique, because the house is designed like a traditional Batak tribe house, in front of the house yard there are also many flowers planted so that all visitors are very comfortable lingering here because of all the views that really spoil the eyes.
That's enough of my vacation story in this place, I will continue my journey to other places that are more interesting and exciting.
