A Study | Digital Painting
For this study I wanted to practice coming up with interesting designs for the individual elements by contrasting them against each other. Lots of texture vs smooth, warm vs cool colors, hard edges vs soft edges.
I still struggle with not mindlessly "copying" whatever reference or model I'm looking at, so I still need to work on interpreting the world in interesting ways.

It will be interesting to see your style grow as you find your flow. Pretty study, I can see where you were playing with the textures.

Lovely. Very "painterly" style, which I happen to like. I really like how you've done the highlights on the hair and ear, and the texture in your background. Beautiful study.
Wow hair is so hard to capture elegantly but you did it here !!! * ___ * also love how you paint the neck and how this simple picture can imply she's looking upwards, expecting something.... so fabs so fabs
