The Development of Science And Technology Cannot Be Stopped

The development of science and technology is a challenge for the young generation in Indonesia. Not only preparing the ability in the field of science, but also the mentality of its users. Then how to prepare the young generation to be ready to face these challenges?

Here is my agenda notes.
Today we see so many developments in science and technology. Things that we can witness both on television screens, on print media pages, and in various forms of human expression, in the development of science and technology. If we review back, we can witness the history of these developments in an extraordinary way.

Humans in their knowledge of nature, first began to domesticate animals, wild animals that were farmed. Then they utilized them for the growth of various interests in their lives. Science then led humans to enter the development of a revolution in the field of agriculture. In the next development, we can see the findings that allow humans to develop machines. Making humans able to advance the industrial sector, and then we can see again the development in the information technology sector in particular, and how these days we see almost all forms of our lives, our various activities are growing on the technology platform that is so extraordinarily developed.

In the development of technology that I describe in such an advanced way, of course we feel many benefits. We can also see the development in the health sector. Where the treatment is carried out on the development of technology. Treatment in diseases that were previously difficult to understand, we can increasingly understand and can be treated better. However, such development also leaves many problems for all of us. One of the problems that has become or developed is the gap between human creation and the development of technology itself, where there are various social and psychological problems experienced by many people. There are problems that are described, for example, are feared. Many people have to lose their jobs because of developments in the robot technology sector, which will be imagined to kill the workforce. Things like this of course need to be anticipated, problems will be increasingly complex, and because of that our ability to be able to handle, to be able to understand in such problems, of course requires our way of forming young generations to deal with developments like this.

Today, one of the developments in science that is familiar to our lives is what we usually hold in our hands every day. Gadgets, are they for communication, are they for seeking knowledge in them?

This shows that we humans can pursue, and especially young people are so close to the development of science and technology.

I believe that these young people will reach a level of understanding, both of values, both of science and technology. And therefore will develop as individuals, a holistic society, which is balanced.

Let's build this nation on the basis of the development of science and technology, where we are given the opportunity to grow together.
