Let's Talk About Rujak
In Aceh, this is called rujak salak pliek.
The flesh of the salak fruit is cut into pieces, then the dip is given later. But if abroad it's called fruit salad.
Rujak! Who doesn't know this food that makes the eyes cringe.
This food, which is famous for its spicy sweetness, of course, almost everyone knows it, even has tasted it.
As we know, rujak usually consists of various fruits, vegetables and sweet and spicy peanut sauce. And of course very popular almost timeless, let alone the seasons.
There are various types of rujak, depending on the region. Such as sweet rujak, ulek rujak, shaved rujak, which we can find at abang carts, to two well-known restaurants.
Besides being refreshing, Rujak actually contains many benefits that can keep our bodies healthy.
We already know that sweet rujak usually consists of fruits that are high in fiber, and generally not soft fleshed fruit, but hard.
Fruit salad generally consists of yam, kedondong, papaya, guava, young mango, pineapple, cucumber and other types of fruit.
The fruits used are of course half-ripe, and the contents of the sweet rujak itself depend on the region and the season.
Not yet known exactly the history of sweet salad. This traditional food is known since our ancestors.
In my village there is a 7-month tradition of salvation for pregnant women, when the womb is even seven years old. Well, we usually provide sweet rujak food. My mother said, if the taste of rujak is sweet, it means that the child to be born is a girl.
But if the taste of the rujak is as spicy as the taste, the child to be born will be male.
"Rujak is part of a form of processing from fruits. So, these fruits are a source of vitamins, as a source of minerals that side dishes don't have, and then as a source of fiber. But what we need to pay attention to is rujak it's always cut into smaller pieces, yes. And then it is served long before we buy. So, before buying it is prepared in small pieces. This kind of presentation allows the vitamins and minerals to be oxidized, so it's better if we consume them. When you buy rujak, consume it immediately, don't leave it exposed to oxygen."
You also know that rujak is rich in fiber. So it's a good idea for you to consume it, you don't have to do it often. But at least once a week.
