Giant Rays Water Dwellers
Is it true that you think manta rays look like blankets? For me, yes, yes 😅
I have interesting information about the habitat of this big stingray. Apart from Komodo Island, manta rays can also be found in the famous Raja Ampat, Papua. Did you know that Indonesia is the largest ray ray conservation country in the world, with 2.2 million square km. This means that the existence of manta rays is protected and fishermen are prohibited from hunting these manta rays in our homeland, Indonesia. I support it 100% when it comes to this. Well, if this ray doesn't like hanging out, because he prefers to be alone, meet this sea animal that is hard to find, Spotted Eagle Ray, (Aetobatus Marinari), aka Eagle ray.
Well, in the Komodo National Park you can find eagle rays. Take a look at its mouth, it's similar to a bird's, right? So it's only natural that it's called an eagle ray.
Apart from the mouth, the distinctive feature of this ray that differentiates it from other rays is the presence of black and white spots on its body. Even though their bodies are large, rays only eat plankton. What is unique about the way this ray eats is that it will just open its mouth and let sea water in, then the plankton that enters will be filtered with its gills. Or what is called a pider filter. Meanwhile, sea water will be thrown out again through the gap under the body. That's my review today about manta rays, hopefully it can add insight to all my fellow readers.
Greetings always compact.
