Don't Be Afraid to Give Alms
Well, Islam has its own formula for charity, which is sometimes very contrary to logic and mathematics.
On one occasion, there was a woman who came to the mother of believers, Siti Aisyah Radiallahu'anha. This woman came with one of her hands covered. Then she came and met the mother of believers. When she was asked by Siti Aisyah radiallahu'anha.
"What is it that you have come to me for?"
The woman replied.
"O mother of believers, I saw in my dream, when she was alive, my mother often gave alms. She gave stale food, and gave clothes that were already worn out. And at that time, in my dream, I saw my mother sitting eating the food that she usually gave in charity with the worn out clothes. While my father was sitting on the edge of the lake playing with the beautiful water, because during his life my father often gave alms by giving water to other people."
At that time, a woman told a story, it turned out that when she saw her mother in her dream eating the food that she had given as charity, and wearing the shabby clothes, she felt thirsty. And then the woman's feelings took water from the water her father was playing with on the edge of the lake for her mother to drink. When the water was taken and given to her mother and drunk by her mother, I suddenly woke up from my sleep, said the woman to Siti Aisyah. And I woke up in a state where my hand was dead. This is where it is said that charity has a very extraordinary meaning. And for us, it turns out that charity is often seen as a very trivial practice. We are given the opportunity to live by Allah, given wealth and riches by Allah, given sustenance by Allah. So do not let the sustenance that Allah has entrusted to us, we only use it for ourselves, without us spending it to give charity. The Messenger of Allah SAW taught us that charity can protect us from disaster, protect us from calamities, even Malik bin Dinar told us that people who give charity, in fact, have opened 70 shackles that are on themselves on that day. So, the principles of Rasulullah SAW, which we must imitate and teach to us. Don't one day we live, we forget not to give charity. So, this almsgiving becomes important.
The power of this almsgiving is evidently as told by a woman who had previously met Siti Asyah.
What we give in life, what we give when we are still in this world, in the future that will be returned by Allah to us.
So do good with the best. Give something that we have, the best. And don't let when we spend something, we give charity, spend something that we have, we envy those actions that are not commendable before Allah SWT.
Don't cancel it, don't then make your alms be useless by hurting the hearts of the people who receive and by talking about the alms that you have given.
We should not bring up the alms that we have given. We must do it sincerely, because the alms that we give are truly for ourselves, not for other people.
The treasures that we have, that are eternal, are only those we give to charity. Because in principle, the alms we spend, the wealth we spend, we give to other people, will later be returned by Allah to ourselves, not to anyone.
So, in our lives we need to learn, we give our best, we give alms of what we have for ourselves, for our future, when we return to Allah, because that is what will be our provision in our journey of life after we die. Almsgiving is very extraordinary, don't feel like you've lost something when you give it. Almsgiving is very extraordinary, don't feel like you've lost something when you give it, because in fact, people who feel like they've lost what they've given, it turns out that their hearts are not sincere. And when we feel that what we give will never be reciprocated by God, it means that it is a principle or a wrong view in life. This life will continue to rotate. One day, we will reach the end, which is death. And after we die we will be resurrected by Allah with the good deeds that we have. And the good deeds that we have really need to be done now, one of which is increasing our charity. Because by giving charity we can avoid ourselves from disasters, we can avoid us from disaster. And with charity, Allah will give the priority of extraordinary rewards for all of us.
Once again, do not feel like you have lost what we have spent on charity, because in truth Allah will give you a replacement with something that is many times greater.
May Allah SWT always accept our charity , approve of it, and in truth, of course, with more blessed sustenance, more and later on, we can rise before Allah with pride. Because we have a collection of good deeds.
As long as there are still those who accept this charity, do not be reluctant to do it. Hopefully it will be useful for all of us. My review today we make as an enlightenment to make ourselves more able to do many good deeds before Allah SWT.
Greetings always compact.
