Speaking of nature, there is one thing you should never miss if you travel to the ends of the earth, namely the natural phenomena that decorate the polar skies, their beauty is extraordinary. But this natural show only exists at certain times. But it's very beautiful, depending on where you want to see it from, in the north pole or south pole region.

An ark of light was dancing in the sky. Aurora makes the inhabitants of the earth amazed because of its beauty. Aurora, comes from Latin, which means sunrise. This magical light is around 100-300 km above the earth in the minosphene layer. Auroras are formed due to the interaction between the magnetic field that the earth has, with the charged particles that are emitted by the sun.

Plasma or a combination of electron particles that come from the sun is thrown at high speed, around 750 km per second. These electrically charged particles are called solar wind or solarowin. They are released from the sun due to the high waves of the sun's temperature and the genetic energy that both particles possess. Before arriving at earth, these particles are intercepted by magnetic field lines which are called magnetspheres.

The magentosphere functions as a protector of the earth by creating a membrane, so that electrons do not go directly to the earth. Then the electrons will follow the current of the magnetic field which heads towards the north pole and the south pole. When they arrive at the poles, these charged particles interact with the atoms contained in the earth's atmosphere. This interaction is what gives rise to beautiful and spectacular colors. The green and red colors are the reaction of the meeting between charged particles and oxygen atoms. If charged particles meet or hydrogen, the result is purplish blue and red colors.

Because the appearance occurs at two different poles, the names of the aurora are also differentiated according to the location. Aurora Australis, is found in areas with high southern latitudes in Antarctica, South America and Australia.

Australis itself comes from Latin which means south. The Aurora Australis appears between March and September. Generally this natural show lasts around 15 minutes, up to 3 hours. Meanwhile, the aurora that is found at the north pole is called the aurora Borealis. The name borealis is taken from the Greek, which means north wind. The aurora borealis can only be seen in the Aptic circle region in northern Canada, Alaska, Russia and Scandinavia. The aurora borealis often appears in September and October, or sometimes March and April. Aurora also cannot be separated from the phenomenon of solar storms. This event gave birth to a powerful explosion which released high energy particles with travel speeds of up to 2200 km per second. As what happened in Norway and Finland 2012 ago. This aurora is caused by the explosion of the sun on sunspots. Even though they are very pleasing to the eye, solar storms still need to be watched out for, because they have the potential to damage satellite equipment, communications equipment, disrupt navigation, and cause corrosion to underground pipe networks.

As long as this magnetic field exists, that is where bursts of sparkling auroras appear. That's what makes this natural phenomenon not only belong to the earth. A number of other planets also experience the same reaction. Among them are the planets Jupiter and Saturn.

Greetings always compact.
