Crochet - My favorite hobby

Hi Steemians,

My name is Iris Lee. I'm a mother of 2 kids and working in the BPO industry. Being a working mom is not easy. My eldest son, Blake, is already going to school. I have to make sure he is ready for school everyday and with that means, I have to help him prepare in the morning and help him with his school work in the afternoon. Blaire, my youngest, is only 1 year and 7 months. She is an adorable baby girl. But despite the hectic schedule and the joggling between work and house chores, I always find time to do my favorite past time, crochet!!

I've been doing crochet for years now. I started with basic stuff like bonnets and simple hats. Then later started on the more difficult projects. Years of experience allowed me to learn more difficult patterns and has given me confidence to accept orders for other people. This hobby turned to a little business and I named it Aizlee Handmade.

I initially started accepting orders for kids and babies. From caps, blankets to boots. Later on, more people requested me to make items for adults. Thus I started accepting orders. Fellow Steemian Sheewa (smb14) is show below with one of my projects.

This is me in the middle with my friends wearing my bikini top project. I never like to model my own project but this is my first time to make a bikini top project so I had to give it a try :)

It's not yet a full time business and right now I have no intentions of making it as well. My priority right now is still my family then work. But just because crochet is not in my priority right now doesn't mean that it doesn't have a special place in my heart. I love crochet and it will always have a special place in my heart.

I hope all of us have that something we love to do and never bury it aside. Though it may not be our priority, we can always find time to somehow make it work.
