RACISM: I'm not black and you are not white.

My skin is dark and my hair quite brown,
You go on and tag me "a black"
Your skin so light and hair so blonde,
I go on and label you "a white".

We put each other down on social media,
I go on to say I hate "whites"
And you say "black lives don't matter"
We let the hate come in.

We go to war against each other,
We descriminate each other,
You call me a slave,
And yourself a slave master.

I'll take us back to Prince Oba's writing,
I'm not black and you're not white
I didn't come out of my momma's womb saying,
Hey everyone, I'm black.

You weren't meant to call me that,
Along with whatever you call yourself,
Hating on me by the colour of my skin,
But this is just a skin.

I drive a car and you don't get to tag me by the label of my car,
It's just my car and not me,
It's just my body and not me,
It's just a label.

sn't it funny how babies cry to the sound of another baby crying,
Irrespective of skin color or nationality,
Or how the magnificent butterfly breaks out from the body of a caterpillar,
Sending a message that it ain't about the body.

We have political leaders starting wars,
Teaching us skin colours and racism,
Making us believe we are different,
So we hate on each other by the different production of melanin.

Well I'll say this,
We all should be like a panda,
He is white, black and Asian,
He is not selective of nationality and skin color.

We must tear these labels off,
We must rip them apart,
And accept each other,
Love each other despite our different skin colours.

And it's our minds that matter,
Not the colour of our skin,
Not the geographical regions,
Or the languages.

We are all one,
Black, white, Asians, Africans, Indians, native Americans,
We should love each other equally,
Our skin doesn't define us.
