Berry productive morning so far.
Up and about early this morning. Kind of like a New Year's resolution but half way through the year.
I have a lot of plants in my garden and I'm working on my husband to give me some of his lawn so I can have more.
The raspberry canes are doing really well. They're super-productive and I expect another crop later in the year (if last year is anything to go by).
I started picking the raspberries then remembered to take pictures!
This is BEFORE I even get through the garden gate!
Raspberries, loganberries, strawberries!
I have other fruits coming along too. I have a few apple trees, plums, peaches, gojiberries, cherries, blackberries, blueberries, gooseberries, lavender as well as the previously mentioned raspberries, loganberries, strawberries and cherries. Then, there's the potatoes planted in everything I can find!
Oh! And passionfruit too! I hope.
This passionfruit vine was looking a little worse for wear early this year. I purchased a pack of nematodes for vine weevil treatment and Lo and behold! It's done the trick! Now, if I get the same as the year-before-last, those fruits will have cost around £5 each - still, the bees love the flowers.
Blackberries to look forward to around the same time as the apples ripen. Looking forward to blackberry and apple crumble, using THIS Recipe.
Our granddaughter loves blueberries and there's nothing more satisfying than picking them in your own garden and popping them right in your mouth!
This morning's haul! I know I only have eleven cherries, but the trees are new and that's eleven cherries more than I thought I'd get!
Happy Gardening!
This berries look very fresh :) Raspberry will be ready soon here too.
You can't get any more fresh than just picked :)
Yes :))
Yum. I'm jealous of your raspberry haul.
This is every day, sometimes twice a day. Plus, last year, I had two crops on either end of the season!
This is the first year I have a lot of passionfruit and I couldn't be more pleased. My grapes, on the other hand, are going on 4 years old and have produced nada. My mangoes hit 4 years and we have been eating mangoes for weeks with more coming. The papaya is just finished and I noticed blooms on the bananas and the plantain. I would love apples and cherries but they do not do well here. I get little round hard balls the birds won't even eat!
These are my grapes. Out of three pots, with at least two plants in each (large pot), I have three or four 'bunches' of grapes.
I am green with envy...LOL
