Blog 22: Short Girl Problem:" Actually my Problem Too "

Hi Steemians, do you have this problem too? If you do then, I’m pretty sure you can relate my story encountering “short” issues
In my 25 years of existence, I have always been one of the short physiques, fun-sized, petite, vertically challenged in my school, dance troupe, my work, friends, and in my family. I wish “I were taller”, of course , I can’t deny the fact that it is one of my insecurities being a woman, because in our society there are actually many people who do believe that being tall is prone to better advantages especially in getting work, and allows a person to be more respected. I am so frustrated in my height, but then I need to accept that I am really destined to be like this, however as I grow up and understand the purpose of everything, I come to realize that being short has a lot of advantages, and I acknowledged it. And from being frustrated it turns out now to a funny realization.
Like the first day of my work, as what I had shared in my previous blog, that my students thought that I was just their classmate because they are taller than me. Until I stood up to the front and introduce myself to them. Haha well, they don’t have any choice but to be good to me and respect me, or else I will give them 5.0 grade in their attitude. Glad that we are practicing academic freedom on how we will distribute the 60% of their class standing. So they need to treat me as their instructor.
It is always funny that when we are having a nightlife and when we are entering in a disco bar, sometimes they ask my age. Nahhh, It is sometimes insulting but It’s okay then, I come to the place to unwind and not to stress myself.
These are the few experiences I had being a short one, but literally here are some of the problems that we are encountering on a daily basis. Funny but True
In my perception, it doesn’t matter how short I am, and how tall they are, because, in life, there is no exception, we are all equal and that, we all deserve to be respected. Yes, I might be a short one, but I have a big dream, as well as big achievements.

Height sometimes does not matter. It's your ability and personality that make you tall. Tall persons have disadvantage too. What matters is how we turn that into our advantage. One comedian said to use what we have and who we are to the best of our ability.

I still wish I was smaller! Short girls are looking more beautiful in my opinion and they don't bump their head on door openings and ceilings :p

:) hi there very tall lady! i mean, u are many inches tall, even more in cm. I feel rather too tall here in PH. i mean, back in hawaii, i am just average in height.. here though, I am usually the tallest.. except when i go to a steemit even and see Terry (@surpassinggoogle) who towers over me!
I was actually just thinking how I had to shrink down at the CR when trying to see myself in the mirror. :P sounds like u and me got the reverse problem sometimes! :P
