Heb 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

Heb 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

If you are truly born again (John 3:3), there will be proof. Every single time. My last post I mentioned that we would receive the moment of our true conversion the Spirit of Adoption and there would be a continuing witness in our hearts that we are sons or daughters of. God, Truly born from above.

We will know right from wrong and have a new desire to do right.

Our text speaks of God Himself writing His commands on our hearts and minds. He writes on our minds so we would know what is expected of us. He writes on our hearts (or our seat of affections), so that we will want to keep those commands. I am not saying that right from the beginning the new convert will immediately live right in every way, but know there is a fresh and lingering desire to please Daddy (Abba Father).

If we truly have encountered Jesus there will always be proof. This proof is also called fruit.

I have a friend named Chris. He is one of the most gentle and caring people I know. When someone is sad, you can see his eyes also fill with tears. He is very soft spoken and generous. I have witnessed Chris giving away his very nice and expensive leather bound bible to someone who had none. I saw him do this 5 or more times in one year. I asked Chris one day what he was like before he met Jesus.

His answer was, “I did not care about anyone!
