HE HAS PROVEN HIMSELF TO ME IN 1001 WAYS

TRUE TESTIMONY OF GOD‘S PROVISION.

We have no food, only 5 kilos of rice!

Three things I would like to do in writing this:

To brag on Jesus!
To encourage you to “Seek His Kingdom first and all His Righteousness!”
If you are going through a difficult time. Keep your cool, focus on Jesus, not the problem and believe for his help.

I will get back to man with the machete, as I want to tell this true story in order of events.

So my wife is telling me we have no food. We have a 4 year old boy and we have people sitting at table.
I did have a little money. 400 pesos which is equal to $8.00 US dollars. It was a Sunday afternoon and getting close to dinner time. I went to the local grocery store on my motorcycle, with the intent to get something for our son and, possibly something to flavor the rice to make it a little more palatable.

So I go to the local Robinson’s and got my basket, acquired a few items and headed for the check out. The store was very busy so I went to the back where they have diapers and formula. This place has a guard as these items are super expensive here. There is another cashier and the line is a little shorter as many cannot afford the before mentioned items.

While standing in line I could see that there was a commotion in the main part of the store. There was a many frantically searching around the store for something or someone! Then it happened, he saw me and pointed at me amd exclamimed, “There you are, I have been looking for you!” I have never seen this man in my life! He came to where I was standing and smiled at me, reached out his hand and I shook his hand.

His handshake was a special kind of handshake! We call it a “Hallelujah handshake”. He shook my hand and when we let go, I had $100 US dollar bill in my hand. Hallelujah! I spoke with my new friend for a couple or minutes. He was only in town for a short while and he just knew he needed to give me this blessing. I don’t walk around with a sign that says MISSIONARY AMD FAMILY HUNGRY AND NO MONEY!

So this is not the end of the story! And yes, I will get to the guy with the machete! The next day was a Monday morning. Most Monday mornings I take my bike to a place that washes the bike, oils the chain for 50 pesos or $1 dollar US. Then I go to Bo’s Coffee to have a cup of Jo and to use their internet. I am sitting over to the side, in walks a man. He orders takeout at the counter and heads for the door. He almost goes out the door, stops, walks over to me. You guessed it! Another Hallelujah handshake! Another crisp $100 dollar bill.

So now my bike is washed. I am feeling blessed! I decided to ride my bike up in the mountains and get it dirty again.

So now we get to the guy with the machete! I am riding my bike, celebrating rhe Goodness of God, when a man with a machete knife jumps in the road in front of me and holds out his hand and yells, “STOP!” This area is notorious for the NPA and even the locals don’t go out much after dark.

I stopped and the man says “waitlan” meaning wait. Then. He goes down into the woods, he comes back after 10 or so minutes and tells me to wait. I noticed that he has a cloth sack and it was very full! He then goes across the road and 4 minutes later he returns. He brought me 12 beautiful ears of corn. Wow! The Lord’s provision!

While I was waiting for him for the 14 or so minutes, other people brought me produce. One person brought the entire harvest from on lacatan bana tree. Probably 50 or more bananas! Another person brought me two very large papaya that actually tasted like watermelon. Another person brought some Gabi, which is, I believe like taro. White and purple and great in soup.

My motorcycle has a rack that we use for transporting Bibles or rice into hard to reach regions. Along with the rack I have some bungee cords. Well my bike was so loaded with as much as it could possibly hold.

When I got home, I called my wife outside to see the blessings God provided. We stood outside and cried together and worshipped and gave thanks!

I know He lives! I have no doubts!

Mat 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed. (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
