Humility - Sermon by Bishop Michael Harr

I recorded this sermon when I was a Priest. I was recently promoted to the rank of Bishop.

The topic is humility and it is something a lot of people struggle with. Knowing one's place. Knowing that we are NOT above God or the Lord. Remaining humble servants and not pretentious, self-righteous, egotistical, selfish prudes. We cannot learn if we are not willing to learn. We cannot grow if we refuse to intake information that allows us to do so. We cannot help others if we are selfish about our priorities and ways. The Lord himself humbles himself before God as well, doing God's will over his own. If we want to see a better world we have to be willing to do something about it, not pass it on to someone else.
