Teaching Myanmar Language to Foreigners(Part-2)

I learned the native teacher pitfall myself some six decades ago. Without realising the difficulty of the task I accepted two Italian girls, at my professor's urging. I was to teach them Myanmar language or Bama zagar in today's plarance.
ကိုယ္ေျပာေနတဲ့ ဘာသာစကားကို သင္ေပးရတဲ့အခါမွာ ၾကံဳရတဲ့ အႏၲရာယ္ေတြကို ကြၽန္ေတာ္ ေစာေစာစီးစီးပဲ ၾကံဳေတြ႔နားလည္လိုက္ရပါတယ္။ အခက္အခဲရဲ႕ အတိမ္အနက္ကို မစဥ္းစားဘဲ ပါေမာကၡတိုက္တြန္းတာနဲ႔ပဲ အီတာလ်ံမေလးႏွစ္ေယာက္ကို ဗမာစာ၊ ဗမာစကားသင္ေပးဖို႔ လက္ခံလိုက္မိပါတယ္။

Within a few days I found that homework necessary for one session took the free time available and some more. Just to collect unit identifiers ate up hours of my free time. "ta ywet, ta chut, ta hmat, da bin, da baung, da gaik" the list went on and on with no end in sight. A few months of hands on training proved very valuable.
မၾကာပါဘူး။ သီတင္းတစ္ပတ္မျပည့္ခင္ဘဲ သူတို႔ကို တစ္ခ်ိန္သင္ဖို႔ ျပင္ဆင္ရတာ ႐ွိသမ်ွအားလပ္ခ်ိန္ ကုန္ေတာ့တာပဲ။ ေလာက္ေတာင္မေလာက္ခ်င္ဘူး။ "တစ္ရြက္၊ တစ္ခ်ပ္၊ တစ္မွတ္၊ တစ္ပင္၊ တစ္ေပါင္၊ တစ္ကိုက္" စာရင္းက စံုကိုမစံုႏိုင္ဘူးျဖစ္ေနတာပဲ။ အဲဒီ လက္ေတြ႔ေလ့လာလိုက္ရတဲ့ အေတြ႔အၾကံဳက အဖိုးတန္လွပါတယ္။
