Greek islands

Introducing some Greek islands that I like very much. These photos are from my mobile. The reality is much nicer…I hope you enjoy them..

CRETE

Crete (Greek: Κρήτη, Kríti ['kriti]; Ancient Greek: Κρήτη, Krḗtē) is the largest and most populous of the Greek islands, 88th-largest island in the world and the fifth-largest island in the Mediterranean Sea.

Crete is probably one if not my favorite island. It has amazing beaches, amazing food, amazing raki (very strong alcohol) and very beautiful women.

ELAFONISOS

Elafonisos (Greek: Ελαφόνησος) is a small Greek island between the Peloponnese and Kythira. It lies off the coast of Cape Malea and Vatika. The area of the island is 19 square kilometres (7 square miles).

Elafonisos has an amazing beach that many people would compare it to paradise. I have no words to describe it just this photo

IOS

Ios (Greek: Ίος, locally Νιός Nios) is a Greek island in the Cyclades group in the Aegean Sea. Ios is a hilly island with cliffs down to the sea on most sides, situated halfway between Naxos and Santorini.

15 years ago there was no police station in the island and the island was linked to extreme parties, drugs and lots of sex. The last years the island has been transformed remarkably. There are still a lot of parties going on but it has also become a family destination. The beaches have crystal clear waters and there are lots of things to do and see

The below can be rented for 10 euros per couple for the whole day. On top of this they offer you 2 shots and fruit salad…Unbelievable..

LEFKADA

Lefkada, or Leucas or Leucadia or Lefkas or Leukas[2] (Greek: Λευκάδα [lefˈkaða]; Ancient Greek and Katharevousa: Λευκάς), is a Greek island in the Ionian Sea on the west coast of Greece, connected to the mainland by a long causeway and floating bridge.

Lefkada is not the typical picturesque island. There are no nice traditional villages to visit and the town is awfully ugly. However I believe the best beaches of Greece are in Lefkada.

I actually got married to my beautiful wife on that beach

SKIATHOS

Skiathos (Greek: Σκιάθος, Skiáthos, pronounced [ˈscaθos]; Ancient Greek: Ancient Greek: Σκίαθος, Skíathos; Latin forms: Sciathos and Sciathus) is a small Greek island in the northwest Aegean Sea. Skiathos is the westernmost island in the Northern Sporades group, east of the Pelion peninsula in Magnesia on the mainland, and west of the island of Skopelos.

Skiathos is very close to Skopelos (most people know Skopelos from Mama mia film) and is equally beautiful to Skopelos. The main difference is that there is much more night life in Skiathos than Skopelos. I used to go there with my mates every summer for 3-4 days and always had an amazing time..I used to go…Now we all got married and our wives don’t let us anymore to go alone..snirf..

NAXOS

Naxos (/ˈnæksɒs/; Greek: Νάξος, pronounced [ˈnaksos]) is a Greek island—at 429 km2 (166 sq mi)[citation needed] the largest of the Cyclades island group in the Aegean. It was the centre of archaic Cycladic culture. The island is famous as a source of emery, a rock rich in corundum, which until modern time was one of the best abrasives available.

Last but not least Naxos…I just love Naxos… My best friend @mariandavp can tell you all about this island. Every time we go there we always have an amazing time. The food and the beaches are simply amazing . Favorite beach? Beach of Plaka of course..
