GLOBAL WARMING KILL 200 000 ANTELOPE AND SOLVING PROBLEMS.
In May of 2015 antelope dropped dead they were Saige antelope. People were not very worried as this happened sometimes when it gets to breading season.
There were people monitoring them at the time and they were not worried as this does happen in the breading season.
The next day there were more of them dying, they were just dropping dead.
Here is a scientist holding a baby in his arms.
But still they were not worried, but on the third day they were dropping by the hundreds. This was a big problem and nobody knew why.
Then the most awful thing happened within three weeks 62% of the population had died out, more than 200,000 had died. And still nobody knew why.
Scientists started to look for the reason, as this was a very weird thing for them to just fall over dead.
A new study was done and the following were found out.
They found out that it was in the body of the antelope, and had been there all the time.
It was a bacterium in the antelope tonsils that was always there but this is what caused all the deaths.
The warm moist weather made them grow a lot faster and this (Pasteurella multocida) found a way into the bloodstream of the antelope and that was what killed them.
They all died in within a few hours and it is said that the disease was not spread from one animal to another, the bacteria was already in their bodies and the climate conditions there was ten days of extreme heat ant this led to the bacteria overgrowing and giving these animals blood poisoning so they were bleeding from the inside and died quickly.
The bacteria that was normally in the body was in their tonsils and bled to death from the inside.
That makes sense, he says, "because the bacteria in the tonsils, they're quite close to the environment of the air and they then basically, presumably, respond to that change in atmosphere. And that triggers them to start growing."
The scientist think that those that did survive were not exposed to the same heat conditions and they are now trying to grow them into more as 30 000 of them survived and it is believed that they were in areas that was not exposed to the extreme heat and environment.
There are other funny things happening and scientist think it is because of global warming.
The green turtle for instance seem to be losing a lot of male turtles. The reason being, that the heat of the eggs determine the turtle to be male or female.
They have found that some where there were 1 male to 7 females, there are now 1 male to 700 females.
Scientist are worried that in a little while all will be female and they won’t be able to mate so they will just die out.
This is very sad and there must be something we as people on earth can do to try and better global warming.
Llew Ehrhart is a professor emeritus at the University of Central Florida, and he's been working with sea turtles for more than 40 years. "By all rights, and what we know about extinction vortex, they should have just slid into oblivion— but they didn't."
"Here's one example where we took action soon enough and the species responded," Ehrhart says.

That is the reason I made it a rule for teachers to teach children at school about global warming. This is very important as they are the ones who will be here when we are not and we don’t want to make it their problem.
Children need to know that there are people trying to fix the problems and they should also know what not to do like waste at oceans or anywhere.
Thank you for reading my story
Have a wonderful day here from the Wild Coast.

great post and informative i dont know about this before
full post insight 👍
Thank, you very much.
👌
This just goes to show the effects of global warming, its not only about weather patterns but its affecting fauna too. SteemOn!
I totally agree thank you.
thanks for this post. I think that the problem of global warming is only beginning to worsen. Because space activities are only at the stage of development.
We must really try and teach children about it.
i agree
Friggen global warming. Poor animals always suffer the most I believe. I like the way you write and your posts are very well put together.
Definitely worth a follow.

Very educative. We humans have to do better and we must be better.
Thanks for the awareness. Definitely glad I took @bigbear's advise and checked out your blog
