Today, I will share some pictures of our favorite new year's soup that are always available at every family gathering. Within these pictures, I will participate in the Contest of Weekly Food Challenge which is held by @mister-omortson.

Red bean soup or we often call it Brenebon Soup. This soup is favored by the whole family, so when there is a family gathering such as this new year gathering, everyone must be looking for this soup. The taste is very delicious, savory, sweet, and salty tastes are very suitable and served with a special fresh Dabu-Dabu sauce (chopped shallots, and tomatoes blended with chilly paste and lemon).

This Brenabon Soup and Dabu-Dabu Sauce are typical foods from Manado, North Sulawesi, Eastern Indonesia, where our grandmother came from. The recipe has been modified by her so it's a little bit different from other Brenebon Soup that people can find out there. It's a family recipe with the main ingredients are a mix of meat, red beans, some vegetables, onions, and butter.
