Color Challenge : Friday Blue - At the Beach
Torrox Beach ....Torrox Costa, Andalucia, Southern Spain
Both the skies and the Med Sea were so blue at the time these images were taken when we went out for lunch last Sunday at the Promenade. It´s still very hot at 28°C that tourists and locals opted for a swim. It is the tradition of the locals to come at around 1:00 PM with the whole family to visit chiringuitos ( Grill restaurants) for lunch. Some locals simply make a picnic and bring the family to enjoy the beach with their self brought sombra (beach umbrella), folding chairs or bed and food and enjoy their Sunday break with their kids.
Torrox Costa´s climate is mild and have a year-round temperature of 18°C, it can be chilly in the night though. Many retired germans have their 2nd homes here particularly those who bought their apartments fronting the beach. Yeah, too many germans live here that almost everyone you see and talk to are german speaking folks. We call it little Germany! Even suparmarkets employees talk in german.
We´ll be going back on Sunday and go to the other end of the promenade... Meanwhile, week end is coming up , so do enjoy it!
