Geek out with me and Geek InsidersteemCreated with Sketch.

Have you ever felt like you were doing the thing you were meant to do? GEEK INSIDER is ticking off a lot of things that I've wanted to do and using all of the skill that I have - and I'm loving every minute of it.

I haven't felt this revitalized in a while. It's the thing that gets me out of bed looking forward to working. The site has been around for about ten years, so chances are you've seen some of their content. I'm ecstatic to be a new member of their team.

Geek Insider & Lady Geek

Somewhere in the last 3 weeks I've been crowned "Lady Geek" on Geek Insider; probably because I'm currently the only active female contributor. LOL I had an opportunity to attend Space Coast Comic Con between February 8-9, 2020 and met some really amazing people.

I wanted to highlight a few here.

Brian Muir

Many of you may not know who he is but if you've watched some of the older James Bond movies, Jaws, Indiana Jones, and especially Star Wars, then you've seen his artwork. Brian Muir, is the sculptor of Darth Vader's helmet and the Stormtrooper armor. Rogue One was his last movie before he retired.

I had the pleasure of attending his hour-long panel and did a quickie interview with him at his table. Of course, I purchased his book as well. The man is a gem, and his wife, Lindsay was very fun to talk to off camera! I probably could have sat with them all day and just talked about their travels and movie set experiences.

Christian Basel

Are you a Whovian? If so, you've probably listened to the Legend of the Traveling Tardis radio show on iHeart radio.

Honestly, I'm a "passive" fan. I cannot quote lines, don't know all the Doctors, and only watched the Doctors played by Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant. I'm still waiting to binge on Jodie Whittaker's seasons.

In any event, Christian was kind enough to get on camera for me. He obviously loves Dr. Who but he enjoys helping people, especially as they navigate through their convention experience. I'm hoping to meet up with him again at MegaCon.

Gil Gerard - aka Buck Rogers

While Buck Rogers has been around since 1929, the character that I knew and loved was played by Gil Gerard for two seasons (1979-1981). He's got a no-nonsense way about him that is quite refreshing because he says what he means and means what he says.

He gave me permission to record his Comic Con panel in full, so if you've got an hour of your time, you can sit in with me. I do apologize for the camera movement. I was working without a tripod.

There are so many more experiences and "quickies" that I've recorded. If you're interested, please subscribe to the Geek Insider YouTube channel - and mine!

I've included links to their social media in the show notes on YouTube.
