My Travel Diary
Hello, my wonderful and amazing friend; how are you all doing? Am so happy to share my entry in this contest that says my travel Diary organized by @goodybest.
Where did you travel to?
I traveled to Nasawra State for the first time; Nasawra State is located in the northern part of Nigeria, and I have always wanted to travel there because that is the place where my elder brother is living.
Nasarawa state is a beautiful state and because it has a link with the state capital as well as other state around the country made it a central area and where people always passes through when traveling.
It's a pleasure on my side to see and know this amazing place. At least I have a story to say about it based on the experience I have gotten there.
Why did you visit this place?
The main aim why I visited this place was to see my elder brother and to also have my first travel experience to the northern part of Nigeria. You will agree with me that traveling is part of education so I intend to have the knowledge of the northern part of Nigeria.
So my going to this place was to know about the north and the culture as well as the tradition of the people. Also, I needed to know the type of food and other things done in the North and how different it is from what is happening in the East, where I grew up.
What is the unique culture of the place?
During my stay in Nasarawa State, I was opportune to witness the Eggon culture, one of the major tribes in the whole of Nasarawa State, Nigeria. From all I have gathered, the tribe is well known for its unique dance and marriage format.
This culture has a unique bride price and that is paid by all suitors that come to marry. One major thing that they always collect is their tradition beans and pig which is a compulsory item that must be presented in every marriage.
Also their unique dance which is done in every occasion where people from far and near come together to dance to their satisfaction in an open filled.
I want to invite @bonvature24 @simonnwigwe @josepha to participate in this contest.
