How To Say No Without Sounding Rude

I have meet with some set of people in life who have a problem with how to give a refusal to a request, even if it is not convenient for them, they always want to make the requesting side happy.

There are times however that an individual needs to say No to a request because it might be something that will hurt you at the end of the day.

To say No to a request, you do not have to be rude about it there are ways to say no in a respectable manner and still be firm about it.

To give responses to requests, if you are not sure about the response to give, ask for more time to think about it in order to make a more convincing decision.

If you do not understand what is been requested of you, gently ask for proper clarifications.

Avoid the word, I don’t think so just mention the word No instead.

Get away with the feeling of guilt, you either help solve the problem or totally ignore it.

You could decide to state a reason for your refusal.

Listen to their response in order not to sound rude and firmly stand your ground, do not give in to bullying or flattering. Make your decisions stand.

You do not need to please everyone the truth is that your constant saying of yes does not guarantee that they will like you, so it is better to just do whatsoever is convenient with you.

You could give them other options by referring them to someone else.
