Today, I will be sharing with us a wonderful story, packed with so much wisdom. A story I titled ‘The wise Man’.

THE WISE MAN

A man named Maxwell who was a soldier, who had a wife that was pregnant was sent to a faraway land. He had to live in a country that is very far from his pregnant wife. He left,pleading with his wife that he will always have them at heart, and will never forget them. He promised that he will return for them(his wife and unborn child).

Well, he left with his boss, those who are ahead of him in rank. He kept serving his master for over 20yrs. In military service, the boss determines when anyone under him is expected to return home.

A night before Mark was to return home to his family, his boss called him.. and told him that for his selfless service he has rendered over the years, he would like to appreciate him. He brought out 2 envelopes. One was filled with Money worth Millions of dollars, while the other envelope was filled with words of wisdom. The boss asked Mark to choose from the Envelope. Well, every individual in the right senses will go for the Envelope with huge amount of money. But beloved Maxwell decided to choose the Envelope filled with Wisdom Nuggets. His master blessed him and he returned to his family.

On his way home, he was worried as to what he would offer his family after spending over 20yrs with his boss. He said to himself.. well, no matter what, we will survive.

On his way back, Maxwell opened the Envelope, as he kept traveling, he noticed that the Envelope was filled with striking words with explanations on them. The first word talked about Endurance, Second was about Mercy, third about Faith. He kept reading them as he journeyed home. The second to last page he read before he approached his door was about patience. Will standing at the doorstep, he noticed how his environment has changed after so many years. While knocking on the door and waiting for his wife to open the door, he peeped through the window and saw his wife and a young man cuddling each other. He became very furious and thought of the next action to take,… lo and behold he remembered the last nugget he read and decided to apply it. He asked his wife who the young man was, and he was told.. look! How grown your son is. He was filled with so much tears of Joy as they hugged each other. They talked and talked into the night. The following day, he remembered he was not done reading the wisdom nugget, he decided to check the last page… It was written with the words Wisdom. His boss in the last page, wrote.. for choosing wisdom, you and your family will never lack wisdom, neither will you go hungry.. behind is a Cheque worth a Billion dollar, use it and take good care of your family. He was super excited and told his wife all that transpired between him and his Boss.

Dear lovely kids, this story has taught us to always choose wisdom from God, the Bible, older ones, as we live in a world where Wisdom is taken for granted, and Money is seen as a god. Remember, when we choose wisdom from above, every other thing we need in life will be ours.
