Hey guys!

I'm here again with a new post. Because I'm a student of food technology, therefore, my this post is related to the food. In this post, I'm going tell about the orange (fruit).

What is "Orange"?

Orange is a fruit which belongs to a family 'Rutaceae'. It is a type of citrus fruit. They are round orange-colored fruit that grows on a tree which is about 33 ft(10 meters) high. It grows in many parts of the world. Oranges are a very good source of vitamins especially of vitamin C. Orange juice is an important part of many people's breakfast.
Orange trees have dark green shiny leaves of small white flowers with five petals.The smell of flowers is sweet that attracts many bees.
Inside the orange, the fruit is divided into 'segments'. There are usually 10 segments in the orange, but sometimes there are more or less. These segments contain seeds inside them which are known as 'pips'.

Parts of an Orange: =

An orange contains different parts which are explained below:

Albedo:-
Albedo is the inner and soft white skin of orange located in the rind of an orange. It contains pectin cellulose and essential oils.
Endocarp:-
It is the inner part of the orange formed by the edible and juicy segments.
Juice Sac:-
The small membranous sac that contains the orange juice is called the juice sac.
Pedicel:-
The plant stalk which holds the fruit is called pedicel.
Rind:-
The outer skin of the orange is called the Rind.
Wall:-

Membrane division which divides into two internal cavities of an organism.
