Tales of a restless suitcase #1: Scenic Khao Lak

We were blessed with good weather that weekend so we hopped on the car and went on a short road trip to Khao Lak. The serene vibes of Khao Lak is approximately 100 kilometres away from Phuket; giving us around 2 hours scenic coastal drive.

About 30 minutes of driving, we decided to get some fresh air and marvel at the superb Samet Nangshe Viewpoint. I’m not quite sure whether this has made a buzz amongst tourists but this hilltop allows you the breathtaking panorama of Phang Nga Bay.

Hundreds of selfies/groufies/photos after, we squeezed in another pit stop: Dinosea World Park. As the name suggests, the main theme focuses on life-sized dinosaur models scattered around inflatable obstacle courses, inflatable slides, and various swimming pools. We totally died in the obstacle course. Yes, it looks easy but do not let it fool you. It is exhausting as hell and difficult as f*ck. Right in the middle of the course, I almost decided to give up and sleep on one of the floatables (LOL).

Multiples bruises later, after our mini adventure at Dinosea World Park, we finally made it to our home for the weekend. Apsara Beachfront Villas is right in front of the sublime Pakarang Beach. The resort is secluded enough to escape the crowds, breath in the Andaman Sea Breeze, and laze around while the weekend goes by.

We spent the weekend swimming, surfing, and lounging around the resort.

Before heading back home, we chanced upon a turtle nursery in Phang Nga. The baby turtles were soooo cute! Check the photos below.
