What is Hepatitis B, and how does it affect the liver?
Hepatitis B virus is usually a chronic disease, when a person is infected with hepatitis B, the liver of the affected person is very badly affected. Hepatitis B causes liver cirrhosis, if a person is infected with hepatitis B and at the same time his liver starts getting damaged then his chances of survival are very low.

- Chronic liver infection:- Usually serious and long-term, in some cases life time, and there is a risk of death. In this serious condition, the liver does not improve but starts to deteriorate, first the liver starts to be damaged and then it turns into liver cirrhosis, later it turns into cancer.
What are the symptoms of acute and chronic Hepatitis B?

How can Hepatitis B be prevented?
Hepatitis B is much easier to prevent than treatment, so awareness needs to be raised. Some important steps to prevent hepatitis are mentioned below:-
- Vaccination:- Vaccination is the safest, Hepatitis B vaccine should be taken to prevent Hepatitis B.
- While donating and receiving blood, one should be sure whether the blood donor is infected with Hepatitis B. And caution should be taken while using syringes, the same syringe should not be used more than once.
- Safe sex should be maintained, unprotected sex should be avoided.
- Used items such as combs, brushes, razors, glasses should not be used by one person.
By taking precautions in this way, it is possible to prevent Hepatitis B
