EARTH MOTHER

In many cultures, the earth is a female figure
As such often she is fertilized by a male sky god in order to give birth of life in living things. Sometimes the planet itself is said to be made up of her body. As a maternal goddess she is usaully nurturing towards her creation and looks in kindly way on all humanity. But she can also be wrathful towards her earthly offrings, if they misbehave or go againts her express wishes.
