I just had a look at the full res-photo. It looks even more amazing. At first I thought you took the picture from south-south-east, Brooklyn probably and as usual for NYC. Than I thought you mirrored it, but than it struck me: it was taken from the Jersey-shore! :-D
It was most definitely taken from the Jersey side. Again thanks for comment. I think I was in between Union city and Hoboken. I could be dead wrong of my location but it wast near the Brooklyn bridge.
