Exploring nature in the Southern Missouri Ozarks: Part 1
My husband @jasonrussell and I decided to dig through our photo archives to share photos of a couple of our favorite places near our hometown in Mountain View, Missouri. We consider ourselves very fortunate to live so close to such incredible beauty and we spend a great deal of our free time exploring on the Jack's Fork and Current rivers. These photos were taken in May of 2013.

Concrete slab at Blue Springs on the Jack's Fork. From what I can see, the inscription reads, " H.L. Becker & H.E. Stewart September 10 1937."
I need to do a little more research in able to provide some accurate history, but I have heard from older locals that this spot was once used as a "hospital cave" during wartime.

Those photos are so beautiful! That water looks so refreshing! No better place to be on a hot day. I lived with my wife in Missouri for five years, but we were in the Kansas City metro area. My brother lived in Springfield. We talked about doing some canoeing and camping trips in that area, but as always, work and life didn't allow it to happen.
Never too late! I highly recommend it. The Jacks Fork River is a little piece of paradise! :)
