I have seen huge numbers of them gathered, but I had to travel to see them. Watching and hearing them here at my house was rather astonishing. They are awesome birds.

An early morning is planned to watch the F1 race, so they all went to bed early and I just popped in for a bit!
I have only seen the Sandhill cranes feeding in fields. They're so big that, bent over, they look like deer feeding.
They are huge, aren't they? I remember when we first started seeing them around here in the 70s. People were shocked at their size.

I don't think they are here, we do however have the grey egrets.
