Aboriginal Australia
I'm not sure how many people are aware but prior to English settlement of Australia it was home to over 500 individual indigenous nations.
I myself have origins in this ancient civilisation and my home lands are Wiradjuri.
Upon settlement the English lords dessimated my people through slavery, mass murders and poisoning of our waters and raping our wives.
This treatment was not just reserved for us "blacks" but women and men who were shipped from England as "convicts" were treated to abhorrent acts of cruelty.
Women were often raped to death and bodies thrown overboard and men were starved to death and forced into hard labour.
Yet, we still swear allegance to the crown who inflicted so much pain and hurt upon our people black and white.
The rich settled in Adelaide but that didn't last long.
Melbourne and Sydney today are the countries most expensive cities and people today are struggling to live.
And that's where I come in, I am an agent of change continuously pushing for change internally through politics and through the community.
I have run many a programs and projects that lift disadvantage and create a higher standard of life for my community and Australia.
And I've only just begun.

That's me, and I'm making a difference each day!
Good work mate. Focus on the positive change you can bring. Good luck
Fabulous. I love the work you are doing. I absolutely agree it should be taught in schools and do my best on that front. I tried to do that idea justice today in a post and I'd love to hear what you think. I always find it a bit hard being an outsider to Aboriginal Australia and worry I'll get it wrong. But in the spirit of Reconcilaition week.. it's talking about it that's important. Lovely to see your smiling face mate!!
