Vox MV50 AC + Modern Player Telecaster Plus
Here is an example of the MV50 with a Fender Modern Player Telecaster Plus. Just some grit from the amp & this guitar-no pedals. Using a Tone Tubby Chicago Blue #hemp cone 112 speaker.
Check out this #bluespower video, then I'll show you guys some of the minor changes I made to this guitar.
On the Modern Player Telecaster Plus, the stock humbucker seems to be the weak link. It has been replaced with a Hot Nashville Retrotron. The controls are reversed because I hit the switch way too much when I'm playing live.
I changed the Kluson style tuners out for Fender Locking to facilitate faster string changes. Even though I use 11's, I play hard, and break strings a lot. The Kluson tuners are just too slow for me-great tuners though.
The cavity and back of the pickguard have been shielded with copper tape. It seems to get a lot of static. If you look closely, you can see the copper under the edge of the pickguard here.
