This is a South African 1949 2 shilling, the mintage of this coin is 2 600 000. The coin consists of 0.800 silver and weighs 11.31 grams. the monarch of this coin is King George VI, when it comes to condition I think it’s in really good shape for a silver coin, despite the gunk it has that can easily come off. I’m well impressed of this purchase
1938 6 pence
This beautiful coin is from the 1938, it’s from South Africa and consists of 0.800 silver with a weight at 2.83 grams. The monarch on the coin is king George VI, the reverse design is a protea flower.
So I’ve been working my way up to some sweet South Africa old silver coins, and it’s been going well. I just keep finding nice silver on eBay at a good price. For the 2 shillings if I was to calculate it by silver price, I payed 2 pounds more that the actual silver price which was a good bargain for me.
Sweet coins. I have a soft spot in my heart about silver old British coins.
Thank for the comment buddy, these are SouthAfrica coins
