So I’ve pulled out the 100 year old silver British coins and though I would display them for you ladies and gentlemen, these are British coins I have bought here in England a month or two ago. Buy the way I’m sorry to say this I was watching a documentary on the royal history of England and I have to say king Henry VIII was a dick..
1826 Shilling
This is probably one of my latest favourite coins, due to the tone of the coin in person, I just love the way it stands out. This is one of my oldest King George coins though. This is a king George IV, the metal of the coin is 0.925 silver , it has similar reverse side to all the English King George coins with a lion wearing a crown. The mintage for this coins date is 6 351 840
1898 Three Pence
This coin is a Victorian three pence dated 1898, the base metal is 0.925 silver, the mintage for this set year is 4 567 177. The design on the reserve side it has the royal crown above the three and a wreath with a bow which surrounds the main design of the coin
1889 Three Pence
This is a Queen Victoria 1889 three pence, the metal of the coin is 0.925 silver. The number of coins minted for this year is 4 587 070, the reverse side is simile to the 1989 design coin above
The earlier the coins I’ve got the more interesting they have became I’m not sure if I’m the only one that feels that, I think of it as this was an actual circulated silver coin used to buy things with, makes you think what went wrong with our currency during the years actually
~Thank you for your time and for reading ladies and gentlemen~
Silver coins that were used as coins have much more history than these coins that I'm used to buy, modern and perfect, but without life. Your coins are the real deal.
Back in an era where England actually used silver and gold in their coinage. Wonderful times when real money was used for trade.
Lol I would I’d like to go back to those times but I think they would put me on a slave boat lol 😂
Thank you for your continued support of SteemSilverGold
Great coins, I love older coin. You wonder how many people used or touched that thing before you got them that's cool? History.
Yea, there is a nice vibe to them.. and a deep thought of how it travelled through a 100 years just to end up in my collection hahaha

True that, guess they where not so selfish with silver back in the day like they are now
Dig the 98 pence
Thanks buddy
I used to have a few of those. I think they were called "threpence." They were among the first coins I ever collected.
